A LOVE AFFAIR
Foot loose and fancy free,
hot-blooded and sportive,
a Spring,
full of towering passion.
A courtship event,
leap frogging,
half-cocked,
laughing stock.
In a hurry to get
a bedroom bump,
then lapse and dwindle,
to submerge.
Green-eyed,
snow-white,
no longer faint-hearted,
full exposure.
Invulnerable
to critical eyes'
baseless accusations
we lie low to 'wait the morrow.
